For the modern business professional, meditation may seem like something better left to the yogis. Rest assured, however, there is science here–and lots of it.

Five minutes of mindful meditation can lower cortisol (stress) levels, increase blood flow, relieve inflammation, and calm the mind. If one can learn to meditate in tiny moments throughout the day, the benefits will quickly add up. This is a quick 5 min guided meditation to get you started.

    Instructions

    Step 1

    Find a comfortable place where you can be alone and take stock in how you are feeling.


    Step 2

    Load the podcast and follow along.


    Step 3

    Afterward, reflect on how you are feeling now compared to how you felt before the meditation.

    If you're working with a coach, send them a quick note recounting your experience.
